The project has succeeded beyond our expectations, and you can now order a flexie on any of Brian's Signature Line pens that use a No. 6 nib. To order these pens, please visit Brian's site: http://www.edisonpen.com/ Watch Brian's video demonstration of these nibs on YouTube: http://www.youtube.com/watch?feature=player_embedded&v=8ZMSmt6bYAQ For Production Line Edison pens, or for any Bexley or Gate City pen that uses a No. 6 nib, we now have flexies available on our NIBARAMA page: http://www.richardspens.com/?pens=nibs+flex ------------------------------------------------------------------------ *** The Black Admiral Has Landed *** ------------------------------------------------------------------------ Last month we announced the new Bexley Admiral, and Admirals have been shipping out for duty at a steady clip. What we didn't make a lot of noise about last month was that because I love black pens, I ordered a few Admirals in black. These Black Admirals are the same price as the regular colors, and they are exclusive to RichardsPens.com. They are remarkably fine to feast your eyes on, and they write like all our pens: Binderized. http://www.richardspens.com/?pens=bex+admiral ------------------------------------------------------------------------ *** A New Pelikan LE, the Black Toledo 910 *** ------------------------------------------------------------------------ We received an email blast from Chartpak this month, announcing the new Toledo 910 limited edition. The black and silver color scheme is a real knockout! It's available now -- email us for details. Please remember, it's a limited edition. When it's sold out, it'll be gone. Don't plan on ordering one next summer. ------------------------------------------------------------------------ *** New to RichardsPens: Onoto Leather Pen Cases *** ------------------------------------------------------------------------ Made exclusively for Onoto but perfectly happy to carry pens of other brands, these beautifully crafted luxury leather pen cases keep your pens in perfect condition and have a core of thicker, stiffer leather to give them extra protection in transit. Available in eye-popping Red or discreet Black, they come in two sizes (Standard or Large). http://www.richardspens.com/?acc=pen_cases With the addition of these case, we now have hard and soft leather cases, Nadia's economical flannel pen wraps, and two types of countertop or desktop display cases, from Girologio and Edelstein. Check them all out! ------------------------------------------------------------------------ *** Reminder for Restoration Master Class Participants *** ------------------------------------------------------------------------ The four-day restoration master class will begin Monday, July 15, at 9 a.m. A couple of you have not yet paid your final installment; please get this settled as soon as possible. Thanks! ----------------------------------------------------------------------- *** Shipping Schedule for July *** ----------------------------------------------------------------------- With no shows to go to, things would look pretty normal this month, but there's that restoration master class in there, which will stir things up a little. We will try to let you know this if your order is the one that gets slipped. Get your reservations made yesterday for the Greatest Pen Show on Earth, the Washington DC Fountain Pen SuperShow. We've got our reservations, and we'll be there. Will we see you there? For more information, visit the show's Web site: http://www.pencentral.com/ ------------------------------------------------------------------------ *** My Nib Smoothing Workshop Will Be Back at DC *** ------------------------------------------------------------------------ I'll be teaching my famous (infamous?) 90-minute hands-on nib smoothing workshop at the Washington DC show, beginning at 8:30 on Sunday morning (August 11). Seating is limited, and our Web site will open registration automatically at 9 am. Eastern time on July 25. DC show goers, don't miss out on the fun! http://www.richardspens.com/?page=workshop ------------------------------------------------------------------------ *** Gang of Five Tray News *** ------------------------------------------------------------------------ The Gang of Five Tray is history. But we still have a few delectable pens from the extraordinary collection that birthed the Gang of Five. To give you a better look at them, I've photographed each one individually and set them up on a new page that shows them off as if they were in my collection. They look juicier and tastier than ever, so do take a look. And take a couple home with you. It'll be along time until pens like these come on the market, if they ever do again. http://www.richardspens.com/?pens=spl ------------------------------------------------------------------------ *** New Old Pens, Trays Galore, and NIBS! *** ------------------------------------------------------------------------ The monthly Pen Show tray has a flock of pretty Parkers on it, along with a nib alert or six. One of those Parkers is the Jack-Knife Safety 24-1/2 that won the polling on Facebook, beating out a 23-1/2 to earn a spot on the tray. http://www.richardspens.com/?pens=tray And Barbara has reloaded her Attic tray with a nice assortment of users and easy restorations. http://www.richardspens.com/?acc=attic Also new in the Attic this month are a passel of brand new Parker Duofold Centennial nibs, a couple of Parker Duofold International nibs, and a handful of modern Conway Stewart nibs. The Parkers are complete nib section assemblies, the Conways are complete screw-in nib units. ------------------------------------------------------------------------ *** Pens That Write Right! *** ------------------------------------------------------------------------ Unless otherwise requested at the time of sale, we tune each new pen or nib at no extra charge before shipment. We fill the pen with Waterman Blue-Black ink and write with it on paper from the same fountain pen friendly pads we sell, adjusting as necessary to bring it up to the RichardsPens.com "factory" standard for smoothness and flow. If you order a new pen with a customized nib, I will modify the nib (for an extra charge) and ship the pen immediately instead of putting it into my regular queue. Remember, we are authorized retailers for Bexley, Edison, Gate City Pen, Namiki and Pilot, Onoto, and Pelikan. We don't always have a complete line up on the site, but we can get anything our manufacturers offer -- if you don't see it, just ask! ------------------------------------------------------------------------ *** Follow Us on the Internet with RSS, Facebook, and Twitter *** ------------------------------------------------------------------------ Follow us on the Internet by subscribing to our RSS feed.
