offer the writer a delightful aesthetic experience; they’re pleasing to use, and they produce a distinctive handwriting that cannot be achieved by any other means. New Pens for Sale: We are an authorized retailer for Bexley, Classic Pens Inc., Conway Stewart, Namiki & Pilot, Pelikan, and Signum. I’ve chosen these brands because, as a repairer, I have confidence in their quality and reliability. If you purchase a pen and order its nib customized, I can customize the nib to your specifications immediately, before we ship your pen. Please send mail to discuss your specific needs and their cost. Nib Repair, Adjustment, and Customization: I specialize in repairing, tuning, and modifying nibs on all brands of pens. For instant gratification, we offer a broad selection of handcrafted specialty nibs for most Pelikan Souverän and Tradition pens and for Namiki/Pilot Vanishing Point pens.
Repair and Restoration: In addition to refurbishing and reconditioning pens that are worn but undamaged, I offer invisible celluloid restoration and other special services designed to return your damaged heirlooms to their former glory.
Restored Vintage Fountain Pens: As I work on clients’ pens, I also restore a few pens that I have purchased and offer them for sale. If you have restorable pens that you think we might like to buy for restoration and resale, please send mail. Esterbrook Renew-Point Nibs: We have a small stock of Renew-Point nibs. Most are NOS; those that are not NOS have been tested and reconditioned as needed. Accessories and Books: To enhance the pleasure of your pens, we offer a few related items; and in our Reader’s Corner we list suggestions for your reading pleasure. At the end of each Extra Fine Points article Don Fluckinger offers ideas for further reading. Most of our book suggestions are linked to Amazon.com for you. |

Our aim is to practice business with character and integrity; to build long-term beneficial relationships with friends, colleagues, and clients; and to encourage others to use and enjoy fountain pens in their daily lives.
Who are we? To meet the people behind RichardsPens.com, please read our capsule biographies.
Clients’ CommentsAmong the nicest things we receive from our clients are notes of thanks. On our Clients’ Comments page you will find some of the email messages we’ve received about our work. Sometimes these notes are accompanied by, or are themselves, lovely works of art. You will find some of our clients’ artwork on our Gallery page.
Over the next year, I will be regrinding nibs and diagnosing nib ailments for walk-up clients at the shows listed below. (The yellow highlight marks the next upcoming show.) Barbara will manage the sales end of our table and keep track of whose pens I’ll be working on. Look for our banner (shown to the right) on the wall over our table. We hope to see you there! Read our “Table Talk” FAQ to learn how we operate at a show.
If you have pens that need other work, bring them along with you — we’ll be happy to give them a free ride to our New England pen “spa.”
