The pen shown on this page is my personal pen, identical to the twenty-four series edition pens except that it is engraved Prototype instead of bearing a number. David Broadwell is an artist, and in his hands minor details of the gold clip and band may vary from this illustration. |

The Pharaoh is here, and it is gorgeous!
The Pharaoh is crafted of light brown woodgrain ebonite by the Bexley Pen Company of Columbus, Ohio. Fitted with cap band and clip investment cast of solid 10K gold, designed and hand finished by David Broadwell, this unusual writing instrument captures the sensibility of the Art Deco era and the Egyptian Revival of the 1920s. Each pen’s individually tuned or customized 14K nib is the finishing touch to create a truly unique fountain pen in a shape and size superbly suited to use in the hand well as beautiful to look at. Here is what one of the first owners to receive The Pharaoh wrote on the message board at Pentrace: The site for fountain pens that write: A limited edition of 24 pens courtesy of Bexley, David Broadwell, and Richard Binder. The Pharaoh is priced at $900.00, including insured shipping to any country in the world. More than half of the twenty-four numbered pens have been purchased and delivered. Don’t miss out on this remarkable opportunity to own an example of David Broadwell’s art on a Bexley-built pen with a nib tuned to your unique personal style. Pens That Write Right — PLUS!
In keeping with creating a writer’s pen, I’ve chosen to use the convenient cartridge/converter filling system. |
